Harmonized multivariate climate dataset for the southeastern United States (ERA5, CHIRPS, MODIS), 2000–2023

Harmonized multivariate monthly climate dataset (January 2000–December 2023, 288 months) for the southeastern United States (25°N–35°N, 95°W–65°W) at 0.05° resolution (200 × 600 grid cells, ≈5.6 km spacing). Combines three open-access sources: ERA5 monthly reanalysis (2-meter temperature, specific humidity derived from dewpoint, total precipitation), CHIRPS v2.0 satellite-gauge precipitation, and MODIS LST (MOD11C3/MYD11C3 Collection 6.1) land surface temperature. All variables are merged via xarray onto a common 0.05° latitude–longitude grid. Total size: 283 MB (32-bit floats, zlib compression level 4). This dataset accompanies the manuscript "Multi-Variable Weak SINDy: Discovering Coupled Partial Differential Equations Governing Climate Dynamics from Gridded Observations" submitted to Geophysical Research Letters (AGU).
