This digital archive comprises images from a level 2 descriptive building recording survey at The Birks, Hexham, Northumberland. The survey was undertaken between 31st October 2023 and 9th January 2024 by Rocket Heritage and Archaeology Ltd. The Birks is a non-designated farmstead comprising a former farmhouse, carriage house, dovecot, barns, pigsties and sheds. The vernacular construction materials, and techniques, of the buildings that comprise the Birks are in keeping with those of many historic rural buildings in Northumberland.
