VPRS 15766 Job Proposal Files

These files were created for the working papers, which in most cases, documented the work-in-progress on a Worksheet proforma. This Worksheet would be updated by the Action Officer as action had been completed. This would then allow any staff member to continue with any given proposal. These files also demonstrate the way PRO managed the records management work-flow across government agencies between 1981 and 1988.The content of each file varies depending on the action required, and the Action Officer who undertook the action. In the majority of cases each file contains a minimum of a worksheet. The file may also include: forms, appraisal reports, original or photocopies copies of correspondence and notes. Not all proposals were completed and some worksheets have no information noted.The documentation held in the transfer files was incorporated into the PROV's paper based finding aids as transfers were completed. Final documentation was attached to relevant PROV files and the working documents were destroyed under NAP when projects were completed.
