Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation at Sandon Brook Solar Farm, West Hanningfield, Essex, 2023

This collection comprises image, text, spreadsheet and GIS data from an Archaeological Evaluation at Sandon Brook Solar Farm, West Hanningfield, Essex. The work was undertaken by Wessex Archaeology between September and October 2023. 357 evaluation trenches were exacavated but archaeological remains were fairly sparse. Two pits and a ditch of prehistoric date were the earliest dated features found. The finds assemblage from the evaluation is small and dominated by medieval pottery and post-medieval/modern metalwork.
