Scope 2 emissions of Tesla by sector 2021-2023

Tesla's total Scope 2 carbon emissions considerably increased, amounting to 466,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equilvalent (mtCO₂e) in 2023. The American battery-electric vehicle manufacturer recorded a volume of 408,000 mtCO₂e Scope 2 emissions in the previous year. All sectors recorded an increase in emissions between 2022 and 2023. For instance, SSD emissions raised significantly from 74,000 to 98,000 mtCO₂e.
