Research is being undertaken at the Jubany Scientific Station on the
biochemical analysis of the southern elephant seal milk and serum proteins
during various stages of lactation, post-weaning, and molting periods along
different breeding seasons at Stranger Point. The research is focused on the
interaction of the immunological and nutritional status with pup growth
studies. This long-term research program is developed in collaboration with
the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
