Studies on Antarctic Pinnepeds

Research is being undertaken at the Jubany Scientific Station on the biochemical analysis of the southern elephant seal milk and serum proteins during various stages of lactation, post-weaning, and molting periods along different breeding seasons at Stranger Point. The research is focused on the interaction of the immunological and nutritional status with pup growth studies. This long-term research program is developed in collaboration with the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
