Posse de veículos por raça no Brasil

The work aims to determine the distribution of cars, motorcycles, and bicycles by race in Brazil. We use data from the POF 2017-2018 Family Budget Survey, especially the dwelling inventory data and residents' race. Dwellings were categorized as "only brown and black", "only white", and "other combinations" due to the residents' self-declared race/color. The results show that only brown and black dwellings own less than half the cars of those composed by only whites. In Brazil, 70% of only brown and black dwellings do not own cars, while this is 36% of only white. Only brown and black dwellings own more motorcycles than only white.
