Complete genome of bluetongue virus serotype 3 isolated in 2015 from dairy cattle in Colorado

BTV was isolated from whole blood on bovine pulmonary artery endothelial cells (BPAECs) during a sentinel surveillance study in 2015 from a nonclinical bovine born and raised on a dairy farm in Colorado. Sequence samples were retrospectively analyzed and it was determined that the isolate was BTV-3 (previously undetected in the region).
