CZ Dataset for Image(s)

The CSV provides commuting-zone-year aggregates constructed for the paper Image(s), by Hans-Joachim Voth and David Yanagizawa-Drott. The underlying project uses more than 54 million U.S. high school yearbook portraits to study cultural change, the diffusion of new styles, convergence in male and female appearance, and spatial polarization in social norms from 1930 to 2010. The downloadable series constitue a transparent replication and access point for the paper's commuting-zone measures.
