Screening of lncRNAs involved in cancer cell evasion of extrinsic and intrinsic apoptotic pathways

We generated ME4405 TRAIL-selected (TRAIL.S) and ME4405 UMI-77-selected (UMI-77.S) cell sub-lines that were resistant to TRAIL and the Mcl-1 inhibitor UMI-77, respectively, after long-term exposure to drug treatment. By performing RNA-sequencing analysis, we found that 37 upregulated lncRNAs in common between TRAIL.S and UMI-77.S cells, suggesting these lncRNAs may function in both extrinsic and intrinsic apoptotic pathways. Examination of functional lncRNA(s) responsible for cancer cells evading apoptosis.
