Data of Manuscript: Evaluating Volatile Plant Compounds of Psidium galapageium (Myrtales: Myrtaceae) as Repellents Against Invasive Parasitic Diptera in the Galapagos Islands

The dataset consists of three tabs: Mosquito repellency, Philornis Repellency_Control and Philornis Repellency_Experimental. Below we provide a description of the data presented in each tab. *Mosquito RepellencyReplicate: The number of replicate per compound tested (1-5). Side: The side of the cage the sausage treated with the repellent compound was placed (L: Left side or R: Right side).Compound: Name of the compound tested: the concentration of the compound. Sausage: Control or Treated sausageMosquitoes: Number of mosquitoes that landed in a given sausage filled with blood and coated with a control or treatment substance. Dead: Number of dead mosquitoes in each replicate. Females: Total number of females tested.Males: Total number of males tested.Total: Total number of mosqutoes tested in each replicate. Time: Time at which the number of mosquitoes landing in each sausage was counted (1 or 3 mins). *Philornis Repellency_ControlYear: Year the assay was conducted in an Y-tube olfactometerType: Type of assay (Control assay)Test: Affluents tested in the olfactometer (Yeast-Yeast; Isopropanol-Isopropanol; or Empty)Replicate: Number of replicate (a single fly tested per replicate).Time of testing: Time of day the assay was conducted.
