VPRS 18010 Correction Books

This series consists of the Correction Books used by Winlaton Youth Training Centre (VA 5093) and Nunawading Youth Residential Centre (VA 5214) from 1977- 1992 to record trainee misbehaviour and their subsequent punishments, for the sections of Winbirra, Warrina, and the Leawarra Hostel.The entries were completed by section staff. Each day the correction book was submitted to the Senior Youth Officer at the section and the Chief Youth Officer of the institution for their approval. Each double page in the book had columns headed: date, time, trainee name, staff name, event (of misbehaviour), correction (administered), Senior Youth Officer (signature of). Chief Youth Officer (signature of). Each page has multiple entries on it.The volume from the Warrina section dates from 1977 to 1991. The volume from the Karingal section dates from 1977 to 1991. The two volumes from the Leawarra Hostel section date from 1977 to 1992 (gap from 1981 to 1986).
