Global datasets of soil CH₄ and N₂O fluxes and soil environmental factors response to fire in terrestrial ecosystems

To explore the effect of fires on soil CH₄ and N₂O fluxes in global terrestrial ecosystems, we systematically collected published papers indexed by China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), ISI Web of Science, and Google Scholar Database as of July 31, 2023. From these screened papers, a global dataset was compiled for conducting a meta-analysis, consisting of 3,615 pairs of field observation data from 148 research sites and covering a wide range of terrestrial ecosystems.
