Single-cell profiling identifies a specific monocyte subset for neuroregeneration

To elucidate the classification and function of monocyte subsets in the neuroprotective retina, we used single-cell RNA sequencing on isolated retinal immune cells. We identified a novel subpopulation of monocyte named Ly6ClowMo/MF, which display neural restorative features. Overall design: Single cell profiling of retinal immune cells from PBS and MSC-sEV-treated optic nerve injuried mice, using 10X genomic platform.
