This study aims to investigate the composition and structural characteristics of the soil microbial community in rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soils of maize plants at different growth stages under the contour reverse-slope terrace. The sloping maize farmland in undisturbed control plot and contour reverse-slope terrace in the small watershed test base of Songhuaba in the middle of Yunnan is taken as the research object. A combination of field in-situ monitoring and laboratory experimental analysis was employed to analyze the composition and structure of soil microbial communities in rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere soils of maize at different growth stages and their relationship to soil environmental factors using high-throughput sequencing techniques. The aim is to reveal the impact of terracing with contour reverse-slope terrace on the composition and structure of soil microbial communities in the rhizosphere.
