A-E denotes the first to the fifth rounds of Mip-seq fluorescence <i>in situ</i> hybridization, and the 1-4 numbers denote the replicates of the visual fields in each group. For example, A2-A-1 indicates the first visual field repeat of the first round of fluorescence <i>in situ</i> hybridization in the early infection group A2.
