Root transcriptome of two Brachypodium distachyon accessions following root tip excision

RNA sequencing was performed on root tips of two Brachypodium distachyon accessions (Bd21 and Bd21-3) to investigate the transcriptional programs underlying lateral root emergence. Root tip excision was used to synchronize lateral root development, and comparative transcriptomics was applied to identify gene expression changes associated with distinct root system architectures.
