This data package includes the data and materials for the three experiments conducted on the project: Memory Retrieval Processes Help Explain the Incumbency Advantage.
The research measures and manipulates participant sequential memory retrieval patterns while considering the choice between two political candidates. We find that the order in which participants retrieve information about the candidate from memory is related to a preference for the candidate already in office (incumbent).
