RNA-seq of E. coli W3110 ?mgrB comparing to E. coli W3110

To explore the biological functions of MgrB in E. coli, we compared the global transcription profiles of exponential growth phase E. coli W3110 ?mgrB and E. coli W3110 during the exponential growth phase using RNA-seq. Bacterial cells were grown to the mid-log phase (OD600~0.6). Total RNA was isolated with an RNeasy Mini Kit (Qiagen, Hilden, Germany). Library constructions were prepared using a TruSeq Stranded Total RNA Sample Preparation Kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA), and RNA was sequenced with an Illumina HiSeq 2500 at the Shanghai Biotechnology Corporation (Shanghai, China).
