Figure data for "Technology trajectories and critical raw materials in sodium-ion battery innovation: An LLM-assisted patent analysis"

This dataset contains the processed numerical data underlying the figures reported in the manuscript “Technology trajectories and critical raw materials in sodium-ion battery innovation: An LLM-assisted patent analysis”. The Excel workbook provides the source data for Figures 2–7 of the main manuscript and Figures S1–S8 of the Supplementary Information. The included data cover temporal patenting trends, assignee types, regional patent portfolios, technological domains, battery components, manufacturing stages, cathode and anode material classes, large language model validation results, and the classification of cathode-related patent families according to their dependence on critical raw materials. Figure 1 of the manuscript is a schematic representation of the methodological framework and therefore has no underlying numerical dataset. The workbook contains processed and aggregated results derived from an analysis of Derwent World Patents Index patent families. Raw DWPI patent records retrieved through Clarivate’s Derwent Innovation platform are not included and cannot be redistributed because of database-licensing restrictions. A README file is included and describes the contents, structure, counting rules, and interpretation of the workbook.
