The virulence factor database is dedicated to providing up-to-date knowledge of virulence factors (VFs) of various bacterial pathogens.VFDB (Virulence Factor Database) is a specialized database dedicated to bacterial pathogen virulence factors. It was established and maintained in 2004 by Yang Jian's research group at the Institute of Pathogen Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and primarily collects information on virulence factors of various bacterial pathogens. After years of development, VFDB has become the largest international data resource center for bacterial pathogen virulence factors, providing critical support for research on microbial pathogenic mechanisms.
