Analysis of the microbiome and metabolomic profiles in the disruption of gut-lung axis in silicosis

Silicosis, a prevalent occupational disease globally, is currently no targeted treatments available. Balance disruption of the gut microbiome due to exposure to environmental dust potentially exacerbating associated conditions.This study aimed to explore the alterations in gut microbiota and corresponding metabolites, along withthe underlying molecular mechanisms contributing to the pathogenesis of silicosis.
