资源简介:
The primary objective of the project is to conserve Australia’s military and civilian heritage, through restoration of significant assets, as well as improving the bushland setting by rehabilitating Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub (an Endangered Ecological Community). The project involves repair of 1.8 kilometres of 1930s stone wall at North Head using stone conservation techniques such as raking and repointing. The works will secure the wall’s stability and limit degradation of the structure. The project also involves restoration of the existing pre-WWII military tunnels at North Head including, cleaning, repairs to fixtures and fittings and painting. The project involves restoration of original dockyard bollards at the Fitzroy Dock on Cockatoo Island through removal of rust, repairs and repainting.
