Awareness of new plastic carrier bag charges in England 2015

This statistic shows consumer awareness of a new 5 pence charge on single-use carrier bags to be put in place in all supermarkets and many other high street stores in England from October 5th 2015. Of respondents, 67 percent were aware and said they will bring their own bag. A further 15 percent were also aware but said they will pay.
