Killifish genotoxicity and soil microbe composition from soil treate with oil and Corexit across a range of times and salinities

DNA and RNA were extracted from oil, oil/corexit, and non-oil soils to measure the relative ratios of small nuclear from small mitochondrial material, relative amplification of large nuclear and mitochondrial material, microbial composition between treatments across time (1, 4, 16 weeks) and salinities (4, 12, 18 ppt), apparent lesions on killifish, and the number of lesions on killifish within genetic material from oil and non-oil soil exposures. Sublethal exposures of killifish livers from AIM1 within this same project were preserved in liquid nitrogen. Aim 3: Genotoxicity and soil microbe composition (Mayer, Kuhl, Green).
