Test-3: Three structures on Dense, Dry Sand (in-Plane SSSI)

Two identical moment-resisting frame structures are used in this experiment. These structures represent three-story steel buildings in the prototype scale. One of these structures is isolated from other structures (the baseline case) and the other is placed next to a shear wall structure. The buildings are tuned to have the same fundamental period and the shear wall is designed to maximum its rocking potential. The goal of this test is to study the effect of in-plane SSSI on the response of the frame structure.
