This FAIRsharing record describes: The CLS Data Access Framework ensures that data produced by CLS is made widely available for research purposes, nationally and internationally, to maximise the impact of CLS studies. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that: sensitive or potentially disclosive data are shared in a secure manner; legal requirements, ethical guidelines, and moral responsibility to the study participants are maintained; and research-specific consent agreements and undertakings given to the participants are complied with.

This Framework identifies a series of mechanisms to provide access to the data collected by CLS. These procedures apply to all data collected, not just under the main studies commissioned by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), but also any co-funded add-on studies.
