RNA sequencing analysis of control, photon- and proton- irradiated salivary gland organoids at 2 and 6 days post irradiation

The specific impact of different radiation types, such as photons and protons, and their effects on normal stem cell activity and tissue regeneration are unknown. In this study, we used bulk RNA sequencing to identify differences between photon and proton irradiation using 3 different doses at an early and late timepoint. Overall design: Organoids derived from 3 different mice were irradiated with either 4, 7 and 15 Gy photons or 4, 7 and 15 Gy protons at day 5. Organoids were collected at 2 or 6 days post irradiation and processed for RNA-seq analysis. Both irradiation types and timepoints have their own control (non-irradiated sample).
