De novo transcriptome analysis revealing putative genes involved in parthenocarpy of highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.)

Parthenocarpy is the production of seedless fruit without prior fertilization. There is an important trait determining yield and quality of fruit crops and is a desirable trait for fruit production under unfavorable pollination conditions. The function of key parthenocarpic genes using next-generation sequencing (RNA-seq) technology to profile transcriptomes of parthenocarpy in blueberry were investigate.
