Transcriptome analysis of the VpGHa1 mutant in the fungal pathogen Valsa pyri

This project employs RNA-seq to investigate the global transcriptional changes resulting from the deletion of the VpGHa1 gene in the pear canker pathogen Valsa pyri. The study aims to identify differentially expressed genes and altered biological pathways in theVpGHa1 mutant compared to the wild-type strain, under standard in vitro growth conditions. The findings will elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which VpGHa1, a glycoside hydrolase family 43 effector, contributes to fungal pathogenicity, stress adaptation, and cell wall homeostasis.
