The dataset includes four types of hydrographic data: glider, shipboard CTD, VADCP, and subsurface mooring. The data were obtained from an international corporation cruise, named as JAMES in the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean during December 2019‒February 2020. Hydrographic data from subsurface mooring are obtained by the measurements of mooring-mounted ADCP, CTD, and RBR. The dataset could be used to analyze the characteristics, evolutionary process, and possible origination of a subsurface anticyclonic eddy in the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean.
