2010 Census Tracts

This dataset includes census tracts as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau and made available through their TIGER/Line files. These delineations were prepared for tabulation of the 2010 decennial census data, but are also used in other tabulations such as those of American Community Survey data. Census tracts are small, relatively permanent statistical subdivisions of a county or equivalent entity. Census 2010 tracts generally have a population size between 1,200 and 8,000 people, with an optimum size of 4,000 people.
