TGF-beta signalling pathway is surprisingly divergent across the nematode phylum. In particular, striking functional differences are observed in the DAF-7 pathway including the regulation of the P. pacificus developmental processes determining dauer formation, mouth structure as well as in behaviours such as chemosensation and kin-recognition. We examined the RNA-seq of tag-68 and daf-7.6 mutants to understand their biological functions.
