This project determined the general patterns of fatty acid and TAG synthesis and accumulation, as well as the CDS, SSR, SNP prediction. We further conduct a transcriptome profiling analysis by trinity methodology for the de novo full-length transcriptome reconstruction of Thraustochytriidae sp. PKU#Mn16, to discover genes that encode enzymes involved in the relevant metabolic pathway. By analyzing the transcriptome, it can point out directions for biotechnology explorations to improve the DHA synthesis.
