Pilocytic astrocytomas and other paediatric low-grade gliomas (pLGGs) are often considered single-pathway diseases due to the predominance of MAPK/ERK pathway alterations observed in these patients. However, emerging evidence suggests that the MAPK/ERK interacts within a complex signalling network that drives the distinct phenotypes of these tumours. To investigate how these signalling pathways intersect across multiple molecular levels, we have conducted multi-omics analysis of a set of in vitro pLGG models developed by Dr Pratiti Bandopadyay and colleagues at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, USA, using immortalised H9 neural stem cells engineered to carry the critical BRAF or FGFR driver alterations. The proteomic and phosphoproteomic data are included here.
