A Standard Reference Dataset for Respiratory Symptom Research Based on Outpatient Chief Complaints (RCC-22K)

This dataset comprises 22,000 real-world outpatient chief complaints collected from 296 medical institutions, each accompanied by detailed respiratory symptom annotations. Data labeling was conducted through a rigorous dual-independent adjudication process by medically trained experts, resulting in 20 manually curated categories of respiratory symptoms.All records have undergone comprehensive de-identification to ensure patient privacy and comply with ethical standards. The dataset has been approved by all contributing authors for full public access alongside this publication.Serving as a standard reference resource for future studies, this dataset supports methodological benchmarking in symptom recognition, early warning model evaluation, and respiratory disease surveillance. It enhances comparability, reproducibility, and citation potential within the field of clinical informatics and public health research.
