Longitudinal road markings dataset (LFO-1, LFO-2, LFO-3, LFO-4, LBO, and LCO classes)

This dataset contains images of longitudinal road markings, labeled into six classes of horizontal signage. It is one of the results of Julia Cericatto's master's thesis, advised by Prof. Dr. Rafael Rieder and Prof. Dr. Francisco Dalla Rosa. This study was also supported by Jean Cassio Peres Barbosa. The images were obtained from the DNIT Video Library video log, captured by the Roadway Diagnostic Vehicle, covering 276 km of BR-285/ Brazil. Frames were extracted at a rate of one frame per second (FPS), resulting in 17,662 images. This approach provided a diverse set of images, covering different lighting conditions, weather, and wear of the horizontal signage. The longitudinal road marking classes are: a) Single solid line (LFO-1); (b) Single dashed line (LFO-2); (c) Double solid line (LFO-3); (d) Solid/dashed line (LFO-4); (e) Edge line (LBO); and (f) Continuity line (LCO). From this dataset, we labeled 152 samples as LFO-1; 4,806 as LFO-2; 7,358 as LFO-3; 6,204 as LFO-4; 33,690 as LBO; and 2,134 as LCO.
