Land occupation on Anglet in 2020

The SCO 2020 is a reference database for the description of land cover. It qualifies land cover elements and is based on the photo-interpretation of SPOT 6/7 images in natural and infrared colour taken in 2020 (May-August). This data can be downloaded at the level of the municipality of Anglet and is the result of an ecological and landscape diagnosis (made by ETEN ENVIRONNEMENT and STUDIO MUGO in June 2023) of the natural and plant heritage to better understand the current state of the municipality on the conditions for sustainable urban development, not impeding the preservation of species and the functionality of habitats, while maintaining a natural and pleasant living environment. The origin of the data is, for its part, the result of the production of a neo-Aquitanian referential of large-scale land use (regional SCO of New Aquitaine) within the framework of PIGMA (Platform of exchange of data in New Aquitaine). This is a detailed description of the territory whose production method is based on photo-interpretation. Production began in 2010 and currently covers all the departments of the region with the 2020 vintages, '2015', '2009' and the 24-Dordogne, 33-Gironde, 40-Landes, 47-Lot-et-Garonne and 64-Pyrénées-Atlantiques departments also with the '2000' vintage. At present, the production of this reference system and its updates are financially supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, Europe (ERDF) and the ATGeRi IPTF. During the previous stages of production, this project had also received funding from the State, the GIP Littoral and the Departments of Dordogne, Landes, Lot et Garonne and Pyrénées-Atlantiques, as well as inputs in data and engineering from IGN. A nested nomenclature at 4 levels and 64 items has been defined. The nomenclature of the regional SCO is a hierarchical classification with a tree structure. It allows land cover elements to be classified on four hierarchical levels, three of which are based on Corine Land Cover. This nomenclature has been adapted to the territory of New Aquitaine respecting the needs communicated by partners and local actors. Minor changes and improvements were made to the nomenclature during the production of the SCO 2020 and it is now considered as version 2 of the Regional Nomenclature (V2).
