Labour Force Characteristics

This data set describes the labour force, the total number of persons of working age who are available for work, capable of working, and are either gainfully employed or seeking employment during a specified time period. This data set also provides the annual average of Region of Peel residents employed within varying industries. The source of the data is Statistics Canada's Labour Force Survey (LFS), a monthly survey of households. NB - Due to data revisions, data prior to 2011 is not comparable to the data from 2011 to present.
