Unveiling Genomic characterization of the Novel Bacterial Phylum Cadidatus Effluviviacota in Global Diverse Seep Environments

The newly discovered bacterial phylum Ca. Effluviviacota is found widely across diverse ecosystems but exhibits a preference for cold seep ecosystems. Here, we report on the genomic characteristics, including inferred metabolic capacities, physiological preferences, structural features, and ecological distribution of a cosmopolitan that occurs preferentially in marine hydrocarbon seeps.
