This file contains retrospective data collected from a single centre. Patients with a diagnosis of Rasmussen's encephalitis were included if they fulfilled the European consensus criteria (2005, Bien et al). Clinical data included age at onset, presentation, seizure characteristics, treatment details and Engel Score outcome. MRI data was generated by visual assessment of MRI characteristics.
The research questions were:
1) Does macroscopic extent of radiological pathology and expedited Radiological Stage progression associate with a younger age at onset?
2) Are specific patterns of preferential sparing or involvement present within the hemisphere?
3) If present, Is there a pathophysiological link between anatomical patterns and the age peculiarities ?
