Gay Community Periodic Survey: Melbourne 2003

The fifth Melbourne Gay Community Periodic Survey was part of an annual cross-sectional survey of gay and homosexually active men recruited through a range of gay community sites in Melbourne. Data were collected on anal intercourse and oral sex, the use of condoms, the nature of sexual relationships, HIV testing and serostatus, aspects of social attachment to gay community, recreational drug use, and a range of demographic items including sexual identity, age, occupation and ethnicity. Method of Data Collection: Self-completion. Sample Population: 2084 gay and homosexually-active men from Melbourne. Kind of Data: Survey. Sampling Procedures: Men were recruited through seven sites: six gay community venues and Midsumma Carnival.
