PT-specific Nampt knockout (CKO) mice exhibited TBM thickening and collagen deposition. Renal fibrotic changes in CKO mice are associated with the upregulation of the profibrogenic gene TIMP-1. Mice in the control and Nampt CKO groups were sacrificed and their whole kidneys were harvested for microarray analysis using the SurePrint G3 Mouse GE 8x60K Microarray according to the Agilent standard protocols.
