Bacillus subtilis inhibits intestinal inflammation and oxidative stress by regulating gut flora and related metabolites in laying hens

Bacillus subtilis has been widely used in poultry egg production. It has been shown that Bacillus subtilis improves the production performance and egg qualities of laying hens. The current results indicate that dietary supplement of Bacillus subtilis increases intestinal barrier integrity and decreases inflammatory factor expression . This information may provide some bases for the potential use of Bacillus subtilis as a management strategy for improving health statue of laying hens.
