Leishmania braziliensis MHOM/BO/17/VP genome and transcriptome sequencing

Sequencing of genome (WGS) and full transcriptome (RNAseq, total) of newly isolated strain of Leishmania braziliensis (phylogenetic inference). Brief clinical history: A Czech traveler to South America has returned back with symptoms of leishmaniasis. They travelled through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, and Columbia from November 2016 till May 2017 and first diagnosed in Columbia. A travelled reported numerous sand fly bites in Rurrenabaque, a popular touristic destination in the north-west Bolivia in March 2017. The biopsy was taken in Prague, Czechia on September 14, 2017. The strain was designated as Leishmania braziliensis MHOM/BO/17/VP.
