Purpose: Next-generation sequencing (NGS) has revolutionized systems-based analysis of cellular pathways. The goals of this study are to compare NGS-derived B. coagulans transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) of both control and treatment (treated with metal oxide nanoparticle) Overall design: Methods: Bacteria from capsule was isolated, treated with metal oxide nanoparticle, RNA was extracted from control and treated bacteria, library was prepared and prepared libraries were sequenced on Illumina Hiseq X to generate 40M, 2x150bp reads/sample. Up to 75% of the sequenced bases were of Q30 value>90. Sequenced data were processed to generate FASTQ files and proceeded with data analysis.
