The primary objective of this study is to investigate the coupling relationship between the assimilatory sulfate reduction pathway and the dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium pathway. This will be achieved by adjusting the sulfur-to-nitrogen ratio in the culture medium and observing the resultant changes in Klebsiella variicola C1(the accession number OR342240).
