Foliar water uptake of Bulbophyllum Wedelli population
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains measurements of foliar water uptake (FWU) in natural populations of Bulbophyllum weddellii (Orchidaceae) distributed along the Espinhaço Mountain Range, Brazil. The study aimed to investigate intraspecific variation in FWU across populations occurring under contrasting environmental conditions and to evaluate the role of phenotypic plasticity through a common garden experiment. The dataset includes FWU measurements obtained from adult individuals collected from different populations along environmental gradients of precipitation and atmospheric water availability. For each population, data were collected under field conditions and after cultivation in a greenhouse under common garden conditions. Additional environmental variables associated with each population are also provided. These data support analyses of intraspecific variation, phenotypic plasticity, plant water relations, and ecological responses to environmental heterogeneity in rupicolous orchids from campo rupestre ecosystems.
