资源简介:

The Gulf of Alaska biennial groundfish bottom trawl survey was conducted during the summer of 2025 by the Alaska Fisheries Science Center Resource Assessment and Conservation Engineering Division's Groundfish Assessment Program. This effort constitutes the 17th standardized Gulf of Alaska survey in a series that began in 1990. It is a stratified random survey and was redesigned in 2025 to be more flexible to changes in survey effort and species distributions. The surveyed area comprises the continental shelf and upper continental slope to a depth of 700 m, from Islands of Four Mountains (170° W longitude) across approximately 2,800 km of the Gulf of Alaska to Dixon Entrance (133°25'W longitude). The survey was conducted aboard two chartered trawlers, the FV Ocean Explorer and the FV Alaska Provider. Samples were successfully collected at 431 survey stations using standard RACE-GAP Poly Nor'Eastern high-opening bottom trawl nets with rubber bobbin roller gear.
